I was going to study for the A+ certification and become a computer tech but I couldn't deal with all the mumbo jumbo about irq ports, and stuff. Some of the technical stuff is more than my old brain can handle, I guess. I should have started when I was a lot younger. I posted an article about using Style Selector or Vistaglazz with 3rd party desktop themes or Visual Styles on my blog on Windows Live. Right now I am running a "Leopard" theme, which is pretty cool. I was tempted to buy a macbook pro back in January, but as much as I like those machines, I rebelled at the thought of paying the Steve Jobs tax. They're nice pc's, just overpriced. Take care! Didn't work. All the themes............only looked like old fashioned Windows Classic. So I gave Style Selector another try.....and..... Got 2 themes working..... amazing. Wonder if I can get the others to work. We'll see.............but I have at least one Windows 7 desktop theme working on my Vista sp1 laptop......... so that's something. Now, to see if I can get the Mac like Leopard skins to work.............. Too bad you can't get tuneup styler by itself. You have to get it as part of Tuneup Utilities. Tuneup styler is like Windowblinds, it makes this desktop skin application so easy............but they want 50 bucks for it. Windowblinds is only 20, which is a lot more reasonable. Some of the stuff Tuneup Utilities does you can get free elsewhere. Winbubble, Tweakvista, etc do similar thngs. Anyway, just wanted to report that I now have 2 themes working in Themestyler for now.
